On January 31st, the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Borys Babin and his first deputy Izet Hdanov held a meeting with representatives of the Public Joint Stock Company “Ukrzaliznytsia” to solve and coordinate specific proposals for establishment of direct railroad route to/from the district close to the temporarily occupied Crimea by using the possibilities of the railway station “Vadym”. For the convenience of passengers, it is planned to optimize the suburban communication from Kherson to Vadim station, as it is close to the temporarily occupied territory and the control checkpoint of Kalanchak, besides the parties discussed the ways of arranging a direct railroad route to/from this station with the possible use of non-transfer cars or passenger train.
During the meeting, the parties reached agreements related to the short- and long-term perspectives of the relevant work and planned further meetings regarding this project.
