The First Deputy of the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Izet Hdanov held a working meeting with the Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Odessa Sadin Aiildyz , who was on an official visit in Kherson region.
The First Deputy emphasized specific activities of the Mission and prospects to concentrate a special authorized services, operating on Crimea in Kherson region as a strategically important step to de-occupation of AR of Crimea.
The negative development of the situation in the temporarily occupied territory of AR of Crimea was discussed in the context of the illegal activity of the occupying authorities, particularly regarding the violation of the rights and fundamental freedoms of the citizens of Ukraine, residing in Crimea, significantly against the Crimean Tatars and ethnic Ukrainians due to their support of territorial integrity of Ukraine.
The active militarization of the peninsular was cited as well as marginalization of the local population replacing it by the citizens of the RF, enforcement conscription of the citizens of Ukraine, residing in the occupied Crimea to the Russian army in flagrant violation of the rules of international law.
The sides discussed the possibility of the international technical support for the special authorized services on Crimea, operating in Kherson region and the prospects of housing solutions for the citizens who forcibly migrated from the TOT of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea to mainland Ukraine.
The attention was drawn to the attractiveness of Kherson region for the investments to be made in the development of seaports and trade navigation in the view of closure of the seaports in Crimea due to the temporarily occupation.
In conclusion, Izet Hdanov thanked the Republic of Turkey for its steady position in support of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.
