On 17 October the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in ARC Borys Babin and the Chief Consultant of the Department of International Connections of the Mission Valeria Pakhomova met with the Head of ICRC delegation in Ukraine Alain Aeschlimann and the Deputy Head Michel Saad.
During the meeting, the further venues of cooperation on humanitarian aid , provided to IDP’ families from Crimea were discussed, including the joint training courses, seminars for public authorities to be held as well as the attention was payed to strengthening of institutional powers of the Red Cross Community of Ukraine, particularly in the districts, adjacent to the administrative boundary line.
Moreover, the environmental situation, caused by the activity of the factory “Tytan” in the temporarily occupied Crimea and the measures, taken to remedy it were discussed. During the meeting, the activity of the Red Cross offices in the temporarily occupied Crimea was highlighted.
As the result, the sides agreed the ways of further cooperation.
