On 13 February the First Deputy of the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Izet Hdanov held a working meeting with the representatives of UNHCR Ukraine and civic organization “The Tenth of April” to discuss the implementation of the project “Legal assistance to IDPs and communities empowerment in the South of Ukraine”, supported by the UNHCR Ukraine.
The project supposes the establishment of free legal assistance units within the service modules of the check-points on the administrative boundary line with the temporarily occupied territory of AR Crimea.
During the meeting, the proposals by the project participants were considered regarding the establishment of such units within the service modules of “Kalanchak” and “Chongar” check – points.
In the context of the discussion, the First Deputy emphasized the activity of the Mission on arrangement of the administrative service centers and notary offices in the districts, adjacent to the TOT AR of Crimea and highlighted the position of the Mission on appropriateness to locate such a units of free legal assistance in the check- points’ service areas.
In conclusion, the sides agreed to cooperate and collaborate in this regard, in the cause of which, the Mission stands ready to facilitate and contribute fully to the implementation of the project.
