On 4 June 2019 the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Anton Korynevych met with the Second Secretary of the British Embassy in Ukraine Ms. Shivon Wright, undertaking a working visit to Kherson region in order to monitor the situation of IDPs and residents of the temporarily occupied territory of AR of Crimea.

The interlocutors focused on the situation in the temporarily occupied Crimea, primarily on pressed issues, requiring legislative amendments in Ukraine to ensure full enjoyment of the rights of the citizens, residing in the temporarily occupied territory.

Socio – economic and ecological setting in TOT of Ukraine in Crimea, arising from arbitrary and unlawful actions of the RF occupying authorities was discussed.

Due attention was paid to illegal persecution, intimidation and harassment against the Crimean Tartars, ethnic Ukrainians and displacement of Russian citizens to Crimea in violation of the rules of international law.

Lastly, the parties appreciated the outcome of the meeting and expressed their mutual desire to cooperate in the informational dimension.
