Following an initial working meeting in Kiev of the First Deputy of the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the AR of Crimea Izet Gdanov and the Director of the National Institute of Strategic Studies (NISS) Rostyslav Pavlenko, it has been decided to join efforts to develop the strategic program of de-occupation and reintegration of the temporarily occupied territory of AR of Crimea, taking into account all aspects and developments.
On 25 February 2019 during the meeting with Olexandr Maksymentko, the representative of the Research Department of Taurida region and Crimea of NISS, the negative developments as the consequence of the illegal activity of the occupying authorities in the temporarily occupied peninsula were discussed, particularly in the context of violation of rights and fundamental freedoms of the citizens of Ukraine in Crimea. Due attention was paid to the need of effective pressure to be exerted on the state – aggressor through the efficient implementation of the sanction policy at both the national and international levels.
Izet Gdanov noted that the efforts of the state authorities, international and non – governmental organizations must be pooled in order to develop the Strategy of de-occupation and reintegration of Crimea with the relevant Plan on its implementation, adopted at the national level.
