A Russian court has announced the “verdict” for four illegally imprisoned Ukrainian citizens: Dzhebbar Bekirov was sentenced to 17 years in a strict regime colony, and Rustem Murasov, Rustem Tairov and Zavur Abdullayev – to 12 years. The occupiers accuse the activists of alleged “terrorist activities”.
The occupation forces arrested the political prisoners in August 2022 after massive searches in the homes of Crimean Tatars in Simferopol and Bakhchisaray districts, as well as in Balaklava and Nakhimov districts of Sevastopol.
We draw the attention of the law enforcement agencies and the Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol to the criminal prosecution of Ukrainian citizens, representatives of the indigenous Crimean Tatar people.
Only the de-occupation of the Crimean peninsula will put an end to the repressions of the Russian Federation against our citizens!
