Crimes of occupation
- As of June 6, it is known that the occupiers have illegally imprisoned 181 Ukrainian citizens, 117 of whom are representatives of the indigenous Crimean Tatar people. Out of the total number, 32 political prisoners are arrested, 130 are imprisoned, 18 have no status, and 1 has been released but is still in a temporary detention center for foreign nationals in Russia.
- As of May 30, 379 “cases” have been opened under the absurd accusation of so-called “discrediting the Russian Armed Forces”, namely under Article 20.3.3 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation. Out of the total number of “cases”, the occupation courts issued 326 illegal rulings on fines ranging from 30 thousand to 75 thousand rubles.
- The occupying country has also provided for criminal liability for the so-called “discrediting the Russian Armed Forces” – Articles 207.3 and 280.3 of the Criminal Code. Under these articles, 2 and 3 illegal verdicts were passed in the occupied Crimea, respectively. Details are in our reference: https://cutt.ly/x5KlaYs
- The occupiers are illegally building several facilities on the territory of Chersonesos Tavriya: museums of Crimea, Christianity, Antiquity, Byzantium, an amphitheater for 1000 spectators, two youth centers, checkpoints, and engineering facilities.
- Occupation “law enforcement” officers continue repressions against the indigenous Crimean Tatar people: this week they came with threats to the parents of activist Elmaz Akimova and conducted an illegal search in the house of Ridvan Rustemov in Staryi Krym.
- The illegally imprisoned Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Nariman Dzhelal’s health condition is deteriorating: his spinal problems have worsened, and he is not being given the necessary medicines and is not allowed to lie down during the day to relieve his sore back.
- Political prisoner Teymur Abdullayev has been in the punishment cell for more than 750 days – his lawyer attributes this to Mr. Teymur’s refusal to cooperate with the special services. Between his terms in the punishment cell, the political prisoner is transferred to a cell with strict conditions of detention.
- Employees of the Kherson Art Museum named after Oleksandr Shovkunenko identified 2 paintings that the occupiers stole and took to the “Central Museum of Tavrida” in Simferopol: “Restorers” by Carlis Dobrais and “In the Hills” by Leonid Labenko. They also noticed in one of the photos the series “Elements in the Modern World” by Kherson artist Kateryna Mikhalchenko.
- The Crimean Tatar Resource Center recorded at least 24 cases of persecution of minors by the occupation administrations of the Russian Federation. As a rule, adolescents are persecuted administratively and their parents are fined or given several days of arrest. The number of children persecuted by the occupiers may be higher.
Militarization of the Crimean peninsula
- Residents of the occupied Crimea continue to record the activity of Russian fighter jets firing missiles towards the mainland of Ukraine on a daily basis. Missiles are also reported to be launched from the Black Sea in the same directions.
- This week, outbreaks of “cotton” were recorded in Dzhankoy, Saki, Sevastopol, and Yevpatoriya. In Dzhankoy alone, residents counted more than 10 explosions. At the same time, Crimeans have already begun to use advice on how to behave during rocket attacks, which they receive from Ukrainian sources.
- The illegally constructed “Crimean bridge” is pushing the occupiers to flee Crimea to the point where it is cracking: photos with cracks along the entire length of the bridge have begun to circulate online. The occupiers immediately began to refute this information, saying that “the structure is strong and solid,” but who believes them.
- The head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, said that the occupiers are preparing provocations at the Crimean Titan chemical plant in Armyansk: explosives have been brought to the facility and the territory is being mined. According to Prokudin, a possible explosion at the chemical plant will lead to the release of a poisonous cloud, which will affect the residents of Crimea and at least 7 regions of Ukraine, Turkey and Russia.
- The head of the occupation administration of Crimea, Aksyonov, continues to send “humanitarian aid” to Russian soldiers at the front: logistics, uniforms, bulletproof vests, food, etc.
- The occupation henchmen decided to open so-called “regional branches of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation” in Crimea and Sevastopol to take care of “participants in the special operation.”

- Russian troops use the Arabat Spit as a logistical artery for the supply of military equipment from Kerch in the opposite direction, passing through most of the Crimean peninsula. This route is used exclusively by the Russian military.
Forced mobilization
- As of June 5, at least 389 soldiers of the Russian army have already been buried in occupied Crimea. 271 of them were probably Ukrainian citizens. The number of burials may be higher, as many of them take place without coverage.
- In Kerch, the memory of the “heroes of their own country” was mocked by writing their names on the monuments with very stupid mistakes: one Russian soldier received a different patronymic, and another soldier had a mistake in his surname.
- In the Saki district, local residents are massively issued summonses to the occupation military commissariat, allegedly for the purpose of “verifying their credentials.” We remind you of our guide on how to avoid illegal service in the aggressor’s army: https://cutt.ly/vVIJLiQ.
- Propaganda of the occupation administrations and incitement to hatred
- The occupiers continue to bring children to Artek’s branches, not only from the newly occupied territories and from Russia, but also from Kazakhstan.
- The occupiers want to recruit every tenth schoolchild into the ranks of the “youth army” by the end of the year. The website of this organization states that more than 1 million children are currently members of the “youth army”. Of these, more than 30,000 are from the occupied Crimea.
Public sentiment
