On 6 December 2018 the senior officials of the Mission’s Kyiv Office participated in the regular meeting of Coordination Council on the Development of Legislative Proposals for the Implementation of Transitional Justice, established by the initiative of the Human Rights Commissioner of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

During the meeting, the members of the Coordination Council discussed the concept of transitional justice, reflected under Article 2 of the draft law “On the Principles of the State Policy for Protection of Human Rights to Overcome the Consequences of the Armed Conflict”. The amendments and additions to the draft law made by the members and experts were taken into consideration including the proposals and comments, submitted by the officials of the Mission.
