On 3 October 2018 the Head of the Department of International Connections of the Mission Yevhen Samukha and the Chief Consultant Valeria Pakhomova took part in the First Forum of European Union Networks 2018. The event brought together the Ambassador and the Head of the EU Mission in Ukraine Hugues Mingarelli, Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration ofUkraine Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze, the First Deputy Head of the Parliament Iryna Gerashchenko, the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Mykola Movchan, representatives of Euroclubs, EU Information Centres, alumni of EU educational programmes, as well as activists and experts from all over Ukraine who work with the EU Delegation to the country.

The aim of the forum is to debrief the networks about the latest developments in EU-Ukraine relations and share existing experience between all the participants on modern instruments of communication, including social networks, cooperation with journalists and multimedia products. During the forum, the steps of Ukraine made towards the integration of Ukraine into the European Union, adjustment of Ukrainian legislation to the European standards and prospects of cooperation between Ukraine and EU were discussed. A special attention was paid to the progress, achieved by Ukraine on the path to European integration and a part of youth European networks on it. During the forum the winners of Video contest and Euro Quiz – 2018 were awarded.  The event closed with the presentation of the current and future projects for futher cooperation with the EU Mission in Ukraine.
