On 12 October the head of the Department of International Connections of the Mission Yevhen Samukha took part in the presentation of the results of sociological study “Ukrainians’ attitude to social democracy”, held by the Horshenin Institute with the support of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation in Ukraine. The participants of the event were Marsel Rautich, the Director of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation Mission in Ukraine, Konrad Holota – the FNF Advisor on issues of political parties in Central and East Europe, People’s Deputies, experts and scientists.
The official of the Mission pointed out those social problems in Ukraine had occurred particularly due to the consequences of aggression, committed by Russia, beginning from Crimea and Sevastopol. “They enable to thrive the populists who considered the European choice to be wrong. It is not the coincidence that the most of EU countries governed by the coalition of social-democrats are well – developed states of common prosperity with the rule of law and democracy and existing of the efficient social dialogue”, said Y. Samukha and added that “joining Ukraine to this European club will lead to de- occupation of Crimea and Sevastopol.”
