“The position of the Mission of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the North Crimean Canal Department is unequivocal – no water will be supplied to Crimea until the de-occupation. There are certain issues related to the needs of strengthening structures that do not allow the Dnieper water to the temporarily occupied Crimea, as well as the reclamation of the southern regions of Kherson region. They discussed important issues for the functioning of the Canal, in particular, the need to complete the construction of a dam at the 107th kilometer of the Canal which, on the one hand, eliminates water in the temporarily occupied Crimea. The second will significantly improve the reclamation of the southern districts of the Kherson region,” Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Anton Korynevych said.
