The Permanent Representative Tamila Tasheva took part in the Civil Society Forum “Shapes of the Future: Victory, Recovery and Modernization of Ukraine”, organized by the Initiative Center for Promoting the Activity and Development of Public Initiatives “UNITED”.
Tamila Tasheva spoke at the discussion panel “Resilience in our DNA”. The main topic of the discussion was human capital for the de-occupied Crimea: how to return not only the territory but also our people.
Ms. Tasheva spoke more about the work of the Mission on the development of Ukraine’s priority steps after the de-occupation of the Crimean peninsula, paying attention to the restoration of public authorities and personnel policy in the liberated Crimea. The Permanent Representative noted that the de-occupied territory will require about 50 thousand specialists.
In particular, Tamila Tasheva reminded the audience about the Strategy for the Restoration of Crimea, a vision document presented at the Second Summit of the Crimean Platform, and also spoke more about cognitive de-occupation – working with the minds of people who had to survive under occupation for 9 years.
“We need to return Ukrainian consciousness to Crimea. We are talking about Ukrainian education, Ukrainian information space, and work with young people. We met with representatives of youth organizations, developed solutions for working with younger generations in the de-occupied Crimea. We considered the issue of creating groups of “educators”. We realize that there will be thousands of citizens to work with, so we have to actively prepare for this,” the Permanent Representative said.
In addition to Tamila Tasheva, the speakers of the discussion were: Director of the M.V. Ella Libanova, First Deputy Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Daryna Marchak, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Maryna Popatenko, Ukrainian lawyer, founder of Miller Law Firm, Ukrainian Armed Forces serviceman, public figure, human rights activist, founder of the NGO “Principle” Masi Nayem, Chairman of the Board of the NGO “EasyBusiness”, co-founder of the Center for Economic Recovery Dmytro Lyvch, Krakow Ambassador of Multiculturalism, Director of the Instytut Polska-Ukraina Foundation and founder of the portal UAinKrakow. pl portal, as well as information channels in Poznan and Warsaw, Olga Menko.
