Permanent Representative Tamila Tasheva held an online meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Australia to Ukraine Bruce Kevin Jeffrey Edwards.
Ms. Tasheva spoke about the work of the Crimean Platform’s Representative Office on reintegration processes in Crimea. In particular, she spoke about the priority steps that the state has developed after the de-occupation of the peninsula, the Economic Recovery Strategy, and highlighted the issue of preparing a personnel reserve for the liberated territory
The Permanent Representative thanked Mr. Edwards for his active support of the Crimean Platform and encouraged the Ambassador to participate in the events to be held this year within the framework of the Crimean Platform.
Mr. Edwards expressed his support for the territorial integrity of Ukraine and emphasized that the war began in Crimea, and after the full-scale invasion, the aggressor country continued to commit the same crimes, but on the mainland of Ukraine and on a different scale.
This is not the first time Ms. Tasheva has met with the Ambassador, but the Embassy has been out of Ukraine since the start of the full-scale invasion. Representatives of Australia, including Mr. Ambassador himself, were actively involved in the events of the Crimean Platform: the Founding Summit and the Second Summit.
Australia also signed, along with other participants, a declaration of support for steps toward the de-occupation of Crimea and actively provided humanitarian, military, and political support to Ukraine.
