The Permanent Representative Tamila Tasheva spoke at the conference “Rebuilding Ukraine: Building on Research”, organized by the Presidential Foundation for Education, Science and Sport in cooperation with the Royal Society of London and the Universities Policy Engagement Network (UPEN).
The Permanent Representative’s speech was devoted to the Ukrainian government’s efforts to staff the Crimean peninsula after the de-occupation. She told her foreign colleagues about the educational programs already developed to prepare the future recovery pool. In particular, about the ones that the Mission has developed jointly with the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv – “Post-Conflict Governance” and “Governance in the Post-War Territories”.
Although both programs have the same basic blocks – “Sphere of Management”, “Economics”, “Security”, “Socio-Cultural Sphere” – each of them contains unique components specifically for the needs of the target audience of the programs. Tamila Tasheva also spoke about the online course “ProKrym”, which aims to familiarize public officials with the history, culture and policy of reintegration of Crimea.
“In the first month since the course was launched, more than 5,000 people from a wide range of government agencies have already received certificates of successful completion. We will use the full range of tools to ensure that Crimea becomes an open, safe and modern region again,” the Permanent Representative emphasized.
