Permanent Representative Tamila Tasheva participated as a speaker at the forum on de-occupation planning organized by the Partnership for a Strong Ukraine Foundation (PFSU) in cooperation with the Office of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine.

The event was also attended by representatives of local governments and local military administrations of the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, representatives of central authorities, and donor organizations.

Ms. Tasheva told more about the priority steps of the state after the de-occupation of Crimea, developed by the Mission and the expert network, focusing on the restoration of public authorities, personnel policy, responsibility for crimes and the fate of Russian citizens who illegally entered the territory of the Crimean peninsula after 2014

A separate topic was the cognitive de-occupation, which Ms. Tasheva spoke about in the context of the possibility of holding elections in Crimea, as the peninsula has been occupied for 9 years, so working with people’s minds will be an important part of the integration of Crimeans into Ukraine.
