Today, on 10 July, Permanent Representative Tamila Tasheva took part in an interdepartmental meeting to discuss the process of creation of a personnel reserve to operate in the de-occupied territories. The event was held at the Government House and chaired by Iryna Vereshchuk, Vice Prime Minister – Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine.

In addition to the Permanent Representative, the meeting was attended by the Head of the National Agency on Civil Service Nataliia Aliushyna, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Health, as well as employees of other agencies.

The participants of the event stressed that the application forms for the reserve of civil servants to be employed in the de-occupied territories are still being processed, where everyone can indicate the regions in which they would like to work. Thus, to date, almost 350 people have applied, 80% of whom have chosen Crimea.

The healthcare provision in the liberated territories and issues related to education after de-occupation were among other key topics discussed at the interdepartmental meeting. The Ministry of Health is in the process of finalising an electronic register of healthcare workers who are ready to work there. The educational sector will face equally important challenges, especially during the process of integrating children back into the national education system and recognising the relevant documents obtained in the de-occupied territories.
