In April, 16 a working meeting initiated by the Mission was held in the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority in Odessa was aimed to develop a common position among the governmental authorities of Ukraine, state enterprises and sides of three-party dialogue in maritime transport in order to do the arrangements to the Nineteenth Meeting of the Port State Control Committee of the Black Sea the Memorandum to be taken place in April, 17-19, 2018 in Odesa. The significant importance of the Black Sea Memorandum for the safety of navigation in the Black Sea around Crimea was the main reason for inclusion of the Permanent Representative of Ukraine in ARC and the officials of the Departments of International Connections and Legal Analysis of the Mission into the delegation of the Nineteenth Meeting of the Port State Control Committee The participants of the meeting were the head of the State Service of Marine and River Transport of Ukraine, the First Deputy Chief of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the leadership of the “AMPU”, authorized officials of the State frontier service of Ukraine, Military Prosecutor’s Service of Ukraine, the main Directorate of SSU in ARC and the Main Directorate of the National Police in ARC and Sevastopol. The meeting resulted in the developed joint position of the authorized bodies to participate in the meeting of the Port State Control Committee of the Black Sea MoU and identified practical steps of inter-institutional cooperation in the near future.
