On March 17, 2021, will be a presentation of the results of the omnibus “Thoughts and views of Ukrainian population regarding an armed conflict in Ukraine”, held by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology, to clarify public opinion on the development of state policy for human rights in armed conflict and overcoming its consequences.
The study was conducted using the CATI method (computer assisted telephone interviewing) based on a random sample of mobile phone numbers of adults (age over 18 years), 2000 questionnaires were collected.
The opinion poll was conducted in all regions of Ukraine, apart from the non-government-controlled areas.
Among the research questions:
- Who should initiate the creation of a State action plan for the transition from a State of armed conflict to peace?
- Should the State take measures to maintain ties with the inhabitants of uncontrolled territories?
- If the liberation of non-government controlled territories takes place tomorrow, what are the priority steps for the State to take?
The opinion poll was conducted under the support of the Human Rights for Ukraine project which is being implemented by UNDP in Ukraine and financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark. One of the organizers – the Mission of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
