This was one of the issues discussed in a telephone conversation between President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

The Head of State informed of the audacious act of aggression against Ukraine in the waters of the Kerch Strait and the actions of Ukraine in response, in particular the introduction of the martial law regime. The President of Ukraine called on the President of Turkey to intensify pressure on Russia to release Ukrainian sailors and ships.

The Turkish President condemned the escalation and aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. The interlocutors agreed that the President of Turkey would raise the Ukrainian issue in Buenos Aires at the G20 Summit.
