Minister of Culture and Information Policy Oleksandr Tkachenko read it to the audience.
“Dear friends!
Today, the journey of Jamala’s new and special album Qirim begins. And this is a continuation of our common path to the complete liberation and restoration of Crimea and all the lands of Ukraine, which are now, unfortunately, still contaminated with the tricolor of evil.
The enemy has brought a lot of pain and injustice, trying to erase the identity of our people. And not only in our time… For generations, our people have been forced to defend what we are. But they did! We have preserved our culture, our inner strength. We have preserved the dignity of our people. We are fighting for our freedom and we will win!
From now on, the strength of Crimea will be heard in the songs of the Qirim album. First here in Kyiv, then throughout Ukraine, and then the whole world will hear it. And when it does, let the world know: we will return! We will resist suffering and fight unconquered. The well-deserved reward for us is and will be freedom – which we will not lose and will pass on to our children.
And let our children speak of us in the same way we are honored to speak of our parents and the generations before us – with respect.
Qırım ve bütün Ukraina serbest olacaqlar!
Glory to Ukraine!”
