Permanent Representative Tamila Tasheva joined the III International Forum of the Crimea Platform Expert Network. The forum aimed to discuss the problems caused by the occupation of Crimea, formulate recommendations for further actions to effectively use the resources of the expert community, develop solutions to reduce the Russian naval potential, and outline approaches to restore Ukraine’s economy.

Tamila Tasheva also took part in the closed roundtable “The Crimea Platform: Synergy of the State and the Expert Community in the New Realities,” which was also joined by Maria Tomak, Head of the Crimea Platform Support Service.
In her speech, Tamila Tasheva noted that the Mission is currently working on developing reintegration tools to be implemented on the peninsula after its liberation. This includes the fields of cognitive de-occupation, development of policies and mechanisms for the restoration of justice on the peninsula, and humanitarian, educational, and informational reintegration. She emphasized the importance of cooperation with the expert community, as joint efforts will help achieve effective work at both the national and international levels.
Maria Tomak highlighted that daily work with the diplomatic corps, international organizations, and experts, along with their involvement in thematic events in Crimea and the search for mechanisms of cooperation at all levels, remains very important for the Mission and the Office of the Crimea Platform. She also focused on holding future Crimea Platform Summits and other events as platforms for promoting the topic of de-occupation and reintegration of Crimea, as well as debunking misinformation around Crimea and addressing challenges to the perception of the peninsula in the international environment.
Ms. Tasheva emphasized the favorable quantitative expansion of the Crimea Platform Expert Network. She noted that the development of strategic documents is carried out with the involvement of the Expert Network experts and NGOs that have been working on this topic since the first days of the occupation of the Crimean Peninsula.

Tamila Tasheva mentioned that last year the Ukrainian parliament adopted the Laws “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine to Solve Certain Issues of the Administrative and Territorial Structure of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea” and “On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine on the Recognition of Educational Results of Persons Residing in the Temporarily Occupied Territory of Ukraine,” to which the Crimea Platform experts also contributed.
In conclusion, the Permanent Representative thanked the representatives of the state bodies that systematically work on the Crimea issue and the Crimea Platform Expert Network, which organizes such important forums in the expert dimension of the Crimea Platform.
