The officials of Security Service of Ukraine detained the deserter at the check point “Kalanchak”, the administrative boundary line with Crimea. The security officers identified the ex-midshipman of Naval Forces of Ukraine who in 2014 did not return to mainland Ukraine as it was demanded by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The former midshipman was wanted by the Military Prosecutor’s Office. The operator’s of Security service got the information that the woman was going to leave the Crimea for certification in the mainland Ukraine and she was detained when crossing the administrative boundary line. The criminal proceeding is commenced according to the part 1, article 358 of Criminal Code of Ukraine. It is considering whether to impose preventive measures on a wrecker. At present, inquires are continuing.
