President Petro Poroshenko informed about the decision of the Committee of Permanent Representatives of the European Union (COREPER) concerning the introduction of the visa-free regime for Ukrainian people.

During the participation of the presidents of Ukraine and Belarus on the occasion of the anniversary of the accident at Chernobyl nuclear power station, the Head of Ukraine was informed about the corresponding decision of the EU ambassadors. “COREPER – the European Union Council at the ambassadorial level has just reached a historic decision on granting Ukraine visa-free regime and opened up the door of Europe for Ukraine,” – pronounced Petro Poroshenko and congratulated Ukrainian people on this decision.

The president reminded that it remains to adopt the decision of the EU Council at the ministerial level on visa-free regime, and the process will be completed.
