The Mission took an active part in the drafting process, providing proposals for the report and the draft resolution on the situation on the rights of Crimean Tatars. The resolution will be put to a vote at the June session.

The text condemns the temporary occupation by the Russian Federation of part of the territory of Ukraine – the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, and does not recognize the annexation of Crimea.

It condemns gross violations of the rights of Crimean Tatars; murders and enforced disappearances that have not been properly investigated. The facts of torture and inhuman or degrading treatment by law enforcement officers and law enforcement officers of the Russian Federation are mentioned.
