The Permanent Representative Tamila Tasheva took part in the panel discussion “Ukrainian Education Is Where There Teachers Are!” within the framework of the program “EdCamp in a Box 8.0 Believe. Win. Support”. The speakers discussed the issues of education in the context of propaganda policy in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, as well as the process of reintegration of students after de-occupation. The program was developed by the NGO EdCamp Ukraine.
Tamila Tasheva noted that after the beginning of the full-scale invasion, on behalf of the President of Ukraine, the Mission has been actively developing the first steps of the state to reintegrate the peninsula, including the return of residents who have lived under occupation for a long time to the Ukrainian socio-political, educational, cultural, and information spaces. This is the goal of the Strategy for Cognitive De-occupation of Crimea, prepared by international and national experts, representatives of central executive bodies, and members of civil society organizations involved in the issues of temporary occupation.
The Permanent Representative also emphasized the urgent need to fill the personnel reserve to restore public authorities in Crimea after de-occupation and shared the already implemented programs to train specialists for governance in the post-war territories. Tamila Tasheva noted that the Reintegration Management Program project and the online course ProKrym: State Policy for the Reintegration of Crimea are already working to develop qualified management personnel for the successful reintegration of the peninsula’s residents.
