During the meeting were discussed issues related to the systematic human rights violations by the Russian Federation in the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, as well as issues of militarization of the Black Sea region and the temporarily occupied Crimean Peninsula. The meeting also focused on the issues of children’s right observance and crimes of the Russian Federation involving children in paramilitary formations, illegal conscription into the Russian army, environmental damage and environmental security in the Black Sea region, as well as violations against the Ukrainian Church and the indigenous Crimean Tatar people.
An important component of the meeting was also the issue of consistent policy of non-recognition, defined by the UN General Assembly Resolution of March 2014. New challenges for the citizens’ right to freedom of movement from temporarily occupied Crimea were discussed separately.
