An important part of this discussion was the issue of consistent policy of non-recognition, defined by the UN General Assembly Resolution on March 2014, sanctions policy, human rights violations, discussion on the topic of restrictions to the citizens’ right on freedom of movement by the occupation authorities, property rights, violations of the Ukrainian Church and of the rights of the indigenous Crimean Tatar people on the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea.

The Permanent Representative paid special attention to the promotion of Crimean Tatar culture and protection of Crimean political prisoners.

Part of the discussion also was full of concerns about the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and the humanitarian crisis in the temporarily occupied Crimean Peninsula due to the Russian Federation’s failure as an occupying State to fulfill its commitment to protect civilians and provide adequate medical care.

Mission of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea is grateful to the partners for their consistent policy of non-recognition of attempted annexation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol by the Russian Federation and the consolidation of efforts to restore the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine in the temporarily occupied territories.
