This year, at the German-Ukrainian festival Immer wieder Aufbruch in Cologne on October 14-15, the COMEDIA Theater will present the exhibition LOMYKAMIN. Women’s Resistance in Crimea.
Among the works presented are installations by Lia Dostlieva and Yuliia Po, “Beach,” and Emine Ziiatdinova’s “Crimea. Home,” paintings by Alevtyna Kakhidze, and Mariia Kulikovska’s performance “The Raft CrimeA.”
The exhibition was officially opened at the Mission/the Office of the Crimea Platform on February 26, which aims to draw public attention to the stories of women who were illegally imprisoned for supporting Ukraine, to honor the strength and courage of the wives of political prisoners, as well as those who daily resist the occupiers, demonstrating the fight for their rights and freedoms. The exhibition intends to show that Ukrainian citizens’ resistance in Crimea continues and is gaining momentum daily. We thank the event organizers and our partners for providing a platform to discuss Crimea!
