As well as the idea of confiscating Russian assets frozen in the United States and transferring them to help Ukraine.
The delegation, which is working in Washington these days, talks in particular about the work on the strategy for the reintegration of Crimea after de-occupation, which also attracts attention. Maria Tomak, Head of the Crimean Platform’s Support Service, also talks about the resistance of Ukrainian citizens on the Crimean peninsula, as well as numerous protests in support of mainland Ukraine.
In addition, the delegation met with Luis Almagro, Secretary General of the Organization of American States, which supported the Crimean Platform. As a reminder, in 2022, the OAS participated in the Summit at the level of Secretary General. We thanked Ambassador Almagro for his support of Ukraine’s territorial integrity and discussed ways to communicate the topic of Crimea with the countries of Central and South America.
During the meetings, the Ukrainian delegation thanked the U.S. representatives for their support of Ukraine: first and foremost, military, political, and resource support, which helps the Armed Forces of Ukraine to resist the Russian occupier more effectively. At the same time, it is important to remember that for Ukraine, both at the level of the state leadership and society, it is important to restore territorial integrity within the 1991 borders, as well as to support the peace formula proposed by President Zelenskyy.
