On 13 July 2019 at the checkpoint “Chongar”, Volodymyr Zelenskyy introduced the new President Representative in the AR of Crimea during his working visit to Kherson.
Anton Korynevych expressed his deep gratitude for the honor to be appointed to a higher position, noting that Crimea is Ukraine, as the integral part of its territory. Crimeans are the citizens of Ukraine.
“We will make the best possible to keep the Crimean issue on the agenda, ensuring the protection of the Ukrainian citizens’ rights, residing in the temporarily occupied Crimea and IDPs from Crimea. Our priority is people and protection of their rights”, the Permanent Representative said.
Anton Korynevych also noted that the Mission would work on strategy of de-occupation and reintegration of the temporarily occupied territory, including legislative amendments in order to ensure the protection of the Crimeans’ rights and to cover the discriminatory gaps in the current legislation. Indeed the Mission will continue to protect the rights of the indigenous people of Crimea, the Crimean Tartars.
“We are open for cooperation with all public and civic authorities to respond the violations, occurred in the temporarily occupied territory. We will do everything possible to make life easier for the Crimeans in the mainland of Ukraine. Ukraine should be as comfortable as possible for its citizens, for Crimeans”, Anton Olexandrovych added.
“We will provide our activity based on the triad of foreign, internal policies and international legal struggle”, the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the AR of Crimea said.
