On 10 September 2018 the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in ARC Borys Babin and his First Deputy Izet Gdanov held a working meeting on sanitary, ecological and medical issues concerning the TOT of Ukraine in Crimea, particularly on the current environmental crisis within the implementation of the Plan of urgent measures on counteraction of Russia’s aggression from the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine in Crimea, protection of the interests of state, citizens of Ukraine and Ukrainian legal persons.
The representatives of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection, State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control participated in the meeting. The issues of supplying the population of TOT of Ukraine in Crimea with vaccines, medicines for infectious diseases treatment, confinement of the public in Crimea and a level of medical assistance, provided by the medical institutions of the occupied territory to the citizens of Ukraine were discussed.
The highlighted issues concerned the identifying of the environmental crisis impact on the citizens of the peninsula in the Northern Crimea and adjacent territories of Kherson region. The medical assistance, providing to the Crimean residents under the healthcare reform as well as including the medical educational establishments into the program “Crimea – Ukraine” were emphasized.
As a result all the participants reached the agreement on their further activity within the competence and the priorities of healthcare of the population were underlined. Particularly it is a provision of qualitative medical instructions to the persons, residing or staying in the disaster area and the possibility to establish permanent medical personnel and availability of medicines in the checkpoints.
