The Mission of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the NGO CrimeaSOS are organizing the event “Memory and Revival” on the occasion of the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Crimean Tatar Genocide. Within the framework of the event, the guests of honor and the team of the Mission will be landscaping the botanical and geographical plot “Crimea” in the National Botanical Garden named after M.M. Hryshko of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

The event will be attended by the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Tamila Tasheva, Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People Refat Chubarov, Head of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol Ihor Ponochovny, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparova, Head of the Board of CrimeaSOS Oleksiy Tilnenko, and artist Rustem Skybin.
The military, representatives of law enforcement agencies, the Ombudsman’s Office, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Infrastructure, MPs and members of the Crimean Platform NGO, representatives of the non-governmental sector, opinion leaders and others will also join the cleanup.
The Crimean Botanical and Geographical Site was established in 1950 and covers an area of about 2.5 hectares. As part of the event, we will be planting plants native to the Crimean peninsula, including Crimean pines. The event will not only actually improve a section of the Ukrainian peninsula, but will also symbolize the revival of Crimea, which will certainly happen after its de-occupation.
