Above all, Crimea’s voice was heard far beyond Ukraine. The Mission worked systematically on international platforms, keeping the issue of Crimea in the global spotlight — most notably during the Fourth Parliamentary Summit of the Crimea Platform and the Third International Conference “Crimea Global”.
Throughout the year, these and many other international events brought together hundreds of participants from across Europe and countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. As a result, Crimea remained firmly on the international political agenda.
A separate area of the Mission’s activity was international human rights advocacy. In 2025, six global public leaders became mentors to Crimean political prisoners.
Domestically, Crimea also remained visible and heard. Throughout the year, the Mission held “Crimea Days” in nine regions of Ukraine, organised public events, and supported the “Letters to a Free Crimea” initiative, which saw around 20,000 letters of support written to Crimean political prisoners.
At the same time, our daily, less visible but equally important work with people continued. During 2025, the Mission processed 3520 appeals — from Crimea, mainland Ukraine, and abroad. We helped people leave the temporarily occupied peninsula, obtain necessary Ukrainian documents, and assisted them in many other ways.
In parallel, our work on sanctions yielded concrete results: over the year, restrictions were imposed on 97 individuals and 13 companies involved in the temporary occupation of Crimea and repressions on the peninsula.
All of this work was actively covered by the media: around 1,500 publications on the Mission’s activities and the Crimea Platform appeared in national and international outlets. In total, they reached an audience of over 145 million people.
We are grateful to everyone who trusts the Mission and reaches out for help. This work is made possible thanks to our team, partners, and those who defend Ukraine every day.
We have been working for Crimea for 33 consecutive years, and we will continue to do so.
