In 29 of April 2018 the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the ARC Borys Babin attended the events dedicated to the centennial celebrations of the Ukrainian Flags raising on the ships of the Black Sea Fleet and the Sevastopol Fortress.

The commemorative events with the participation of the Chief Commander of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces and ship sailors stuffs was held in the main base of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Odessa, where the Flag of Ukrainian People’s Republic had been delivered. The Flag was preserved by the Ukrainian diaspora in the USA.

On common initiatives of the Mission and the authorities of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine the Flags were raised not only in the military locations but in the regions, cities, towns, villages where the subdivisions of NF of MF of Ukraine serve to counteract the Russian’s aggression from the occupied Crimea.

During the centennial celebrations of raising of the Fags in Mykolaiv  the Deputy Commander  of the Southern Navy Base the Second Team Captain Kovalenko Oleksiy pointed out that the destinies of Mykolaiv and Fleet were inextricably linked as well as a glory of military sailors of all times.

To honor the raising of a Flag of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine the commemorative events were held on the ships marine battalion near Berdyansk, where the representatives of self government and the Berdyansk State Administration thanked the military sailors for the their work and wished all the best.

The centennial celebrations devoted to the raising of a Flag were also held in Skadovskiy district within the Naval territory with the participation of the marine corps, inhabitants of the district, governmental authorities and military commissioners. The Head of the Skadovsk State Administration Viktor Turyk wished the militaries success in their work, peace and prosperity for their families.

The commemorative events marked in Chaplynskiy district by raising the Flags of Ukraine and Naval Forces of Ukraine. The marine corps, future recruits and the leadership of the region were presented there. The Head of the Chaplynka District Administration Olexander Bureiko congratulated the marine corps and expressed his belief that the rebirth of Navy was very important. He stressed that the marine corps are elite not in the Navy Forces but in the whole Armed Forces.

In Genicheskiy district the raising of the Flag took place in the location of marine corps with the participation of volunteers. At the same time the Flags were raised in Kyiv, Lviv, Rivne and others.

The Mission is thankful to the representatives of military recruiting centers, of district state administrations, to the volunteers and self-governmental bodies for their assistance in celebrations events to be held in particular in the territories adjacent to the administrative boundary line.
