On 9 July 2019 the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Anton Korynevych participated in the discussion on theme: “Crimea: vision for the future”, held in the framework of cultural and social project “Crimean House unites hearts”
The event brought together the Deputy Head of Mejlis of Crimean Tartar People Ilmy Umerov, the First Deputy Minister for the temporarily occupied territories Yusuf Kurkchi, a Human Rights defender, program director of Crimean House, co-founder of public initiative “Crimea SOS” Alim Aliev, a member of Mejlis of Crimean Tartar People and Deputy Head of Genichesk District State Administration Gulnara Bekirova Alydynova, Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights of Residents of Crimea and Sevastopol Ismail Khalikov.
During the discussion, the interlocutors exchanged their views on the current situation of Crimean Tartar People in the temporarily occupied territory, repressions against the indigenous people of Crimea by the occupying authorities including the challenges the residents of Crimea and IDPs face in the processing of individual documents.
The discussion concluded with the emphasis on the need to join the efforts of the state and civic organizations on reintegration of the temporarily occupied Crimea into the rest of the country.
