The order of the Chief State Inspector of Veterinary Medicine of Ukraine dated March, 28 2018 № 31 was adopted, it amends the order of the Chief State Inspector of Veterinary Medicine of Ukraine dated October, 10 2014 № 129, where the domestic animals’ crossing of the administrative boundary line with the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine in Crimea was prohibited. Those changes was done to follow – up the decisions of the meetings held by the Mission last time, and according to the letter of the Mission dated January, 24 2018,
According to the paragraph 1.1 currently in current version of order, non-commercial displacement of domestic animals by the citizens of Ukraine, who reside in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine, including those who are temporarily being in other territory of Ukraine could be possible by the availability of veterinary certificate.
In May, 3 2018 it was held a working meeting with the representatives of Odessa Regional Department of State Veterinary and Sanitary Control at the State Border and Transport concerning the practical usage of new legal instruments. The officials of the Mission highlighted that the abovementioned veterinary and sanitary passports must be issued by the authorized entities of Ukraine or foreign countries according to the legislation and international agreements of Ukraine. Illegal veterinary certificates issued by the entities of the occupying authorities do not provide a basis for the animal movement across the check points.
