The Mission of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea sincerely congratulates the Crimean lawyer Avamileva Emine, which today, on June 28, by the Decree of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy No. 274/2021 “On the awarding of state awards of Ukraine on the occasion of the Constitution Day of Ukraine” at the request of the Mission was awarded the honorary title of “The Honored Lawyer of Ukraine”.
Since the 1990s, Avamileva Emine has coordinated and implemented a significant number of projects aimed at the formation and development of civil society in Ukraine, the establishment of the principles of the rule of law.
The main area of her advocacy since 2014 is the protection of the rights of Crimean Tatars, as the indigenous people of Crimea, to preserve their national identity; participation as a lawyer in politically motivated cases against citizens of Ukraine who are being persecuted by the Russian Federation during the temporary occupation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.
She was one of the lawyers of the captured Ukrainian sailor – Vyacheslav Anatolyevich Zinchenko, who was captured, among others, by the authorities of the Russian Federation in November 2018 in the Kerch Strait.
Therefore, we congratulate Ms. Emine once again on her well-deserved state award and we will make every effort to ensure that such honors are found by anyone who continues his struggle for the protection of human rights in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
