“Crimea is a zone of lawlessness, where representatives of the occupation administration of the Russian Federation commit systematic serious human rights violations, including war crimes and crimes against humanity. The situation is particularly difficult in connection with the coronavirus pandemic, which is a very serious challenge for people in the temporarily occupied peninsula and shows that the occupying administrations are unable to provide adequate protection of the civilian population”, – The Permanent Representative of the President in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Anton Korynevych commented, during the online briefing for Delegations of OSCE participating States, in the context of the seventh anniversary of the temporary occupation of Crimea.
The main purpose of the event, organized by the Mission of Ukraine and the EU Delegation to the OSCE, was to acquaint foreign partners with the situation in the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.
The briefing was addressed by First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparova, Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Anton Korynevych and Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine for European Integration Anatolii Petrenko.
