In June 22, 2018 the scientific–practical conference “Development of science and practice of international Law” of the Ukrainian Association of International Law was held in the Institute of International Relations of Kyiv National University named after Taras Shevchenko.  During their speeches the Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Stanislav Shevchuk, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine Oleksiy  Filatov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Olena Zerkal stressed the role of International Law for Ukraine in the current context.

Olena Zerkal in her speech noted that it was very difficult to explain the law enforcement bodies of Ukraine the difference between the national criminal proceedings and the ones in the International Criminal Court. The Deputy Minister emphasized the practical scientific relevance of International Law in the proceedings of invalidity and termination of treaties between Ukraine and the state-aggressor, i.a. regarding the Sea of Azov and the Kerch Straight.

The Permanent Representative of President of Ukraine in ARC Borys Babin in his report underlined the international legal activity of the Mission in counteraction of Russia’s aggression, hehighlighted the relevant activities of the Plan of Urgent Measures on Counteraction the Russian aggression, adopted in June 20, 2018.
