In June, 6 2018 during the visit of the Parliamentary Human Rights Commissioner Ludmyla Denysova to Kherson region it was introduced the Representative Commissioner on the rights of the residents of ARC and city Sevastopol Ismail Halikov, whose office is going to be situated in Kherson.
Ludmyla Denisova expressed confidence that appointment of the Representative Commissioner would help in the decision of the Crimean residents’ pressed issues. The Mandate of the Representative Commissioner provides freedom to visit the State and local governmental and self-governmental bodies, places of detention of citizens regardless of their status as well as access to documents and receiving their copies in the State authorized bodies, Prosecutor’s Office, including court cases under view.
During of her working visit the Parliamentary Human Rights Commissioner together with the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in ARC Borys Babin, officials of the Commissioner’s Secretariat and the Mission of the President in ARC with the participation of the officials of the executive power visited the check point “Kalanchak”. During the visit it was one more noted the unresolved problems of the check points, particularly the establishment of lightning, construction of passenger pedestrian crossing, lack of legal passenger transportation from the check points to human settlements of Kherson region.
It was pointed out the efforts of the officers of the State Boarder Guard Service of Ukraine and national Police of Ukraine in defense of the State’s interests and the Human Rights while serving and in the administrative boundary line.
