In June 20 2018 the Permanent Representative of President of Ukraine in ARC Borys Babin had a meeting with the heads of the educational centers “Crimea-Ukraine», established at the Higher Educational Establishments of determined regions and with the representatives of the Center “Almenda” on issues of educational campaign of 2018 for the citizens of Ukraine, residing in the temporarily occupied Crimea.  

During the meeting the presentation of current educational situation in Crimea was given by the volunteers of the civil body “Almenda”, it was estimated the intermediate results in the implementation of entrance campaign of 2018 regarding the pressed issue appearing during this process, in particular the informing of applicants for entry and the members of their families, providing them with quality administrative services in the mainland of Ukraine and providing them hostel facilities during the entrance campaign.

The representatives of the Universities and Academies from Zaporizhya, Odesa, and Kherson regions, from Taurian National University named after V.I. Vernadsky discussed issues of concern and possible solutions regarding the Right to education of citizens, residing in Crimea, in higher educational establishment according to a quota system in 2018. The members of the meeting prepared recommendations to improve the activity and cooperation among the educational establishments and the executive bodies during the entrance campaign this year.

The Permanent Representative Borys Babin summed up the issues concerning the realization of the Right to education of the citizens of Ukraine in Crimea and stressed on the duty of the entrance campaign for the Crimean residents promotion to be improved in 2018. It was discussed the practical needs of dissemination of visual, audio and video materials, it was pointed out the real success of dozens educational establishments in production of relevant materials in 2018 and their distribution under the cooperation with the Mission of President of Ukraine in ARC.

The officials of the Mission informed about the relevant activity provided by the Mission at the State level at the other meeting, held later by the Department of Science, Education and Youth of Kherson State Regional Administration on informational background issues of campaign “Crimea-Ukraine” in the region.
