Counselor for Political Affairs David Gehrenbeck and Human Rights Officer Patrick Knapp accompanied by Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Anton Korynevych visited checkpoints “Kalanchak” and “Chaplynka” on the administrative border with the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, met with the Head of the Kherson Regional Council Oleksandr Samoilenko, Deputy Head of the Kherson Regional State Administration Mykola Yakymenko.
They also traditionally held a meeting with internally displaced persons from Crimea residing in the Kherson region, as well as with representatives of the indigenous Crimean Tatar people.
The team of the Mission of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea is sincerely grateful to the partners of Ukraine, in particular to the US Embassy in Ukraine for their consistent support of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, deoccupation of Crimea both in the international arena and by supporting Ukrainian citizens temporarily residing under occupation.
