On October 8th, 2017 the military servants of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine took measures to stop the illegal actions on the extraction of biological resources (bloodworms) in the water area of Sivash Bay. The trespassers were brought to the administrative responsibility for entering the bay water area on the small floating craft without proper permission.At the time of detection of this violation, the border guards found three engine-driven pumps for catching bloodworms without permits at the territory of the nature park. Therefore, the servants of the State Border Guard Service called in the representatives of the Azov-Sivash National Nature Park and Henichesk National Police Department on the scene. The representatives of the National Natural Park drew up an administrative record of gross violation of fishing rules in the name of entrepreneur whose employees tried to catch the bloodworms. The police officers opened a criminal investigation into this incident and seized the indicated engine-driven pumps according to the procedure provided for by the legislation, which were subsequently transferred to the mentioned entrepreneur for storage by the court.
While performing the indicated actions by the military servants, employees of the national park and the police, the entrepreneur resorted to verbal threats to destabilize situation in the areas close to the line of delimitation with temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine in Crimea. The relevant attempts had negative impact on situation in Henichesk district and countermeasures of the law enforcement officials are under special attention of the Mission of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
