In June 19 2018 President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko held a telephone conversation with the United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres. Petro Poroshenko expressed his concern regarding the critical deteriorating the Human Rights situation in the temporarily occupied Crimea

in June 20, 2018 President of Ukraine received Minister for Foreign Affairs of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs. The President thanked Latvia for sustainable support of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, solidarity and Latvian assistance in counteraction of Russia’s aggression as well as condemnation and non –recognition of illegal occupation of Crimea.

The Head of the State highly appreciated the coherent position of Latvia on necessity of continuing sanctions against Russia by the European Union until the territorial integrity of Ukraine will be re-established, including Crimea. The Head of foreign institution of Latvia stressed on the importance of the active international campaign to launch in order to release the Ukrainian detainers from the Russian prisons.
