On March, 16 the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in ARC Borys Babin and the chief consultants of the Mission took part in the round table: “Four years without Crimea: the consequences of occupation and prospects of liberation” organized in Taurian National University after V.I. Vernadsky.
The participants of the event were the Heads and members of Medjlis of Crimean Tatar People, People’s Deputies of Ukraine, the Minister First Deputy of Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons, the representatives of the National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting, Crimean historians, teachers, Human Rights defenders and representatives of civil communities.

A great range of humanitarian and educational issues were discussed and the state of development of education, science, culture, language and religious in the occupied Crimea was emphasized, also it was pointed out the existing problems in the TOT, in particular opening the Russian university branches in Crimea.
Borys Babin informed about the current activity of the Mission on above-mentioned directions and pointed to the existing problems and the need to amend the current legislation in order to improve the educational process for IDPs from Crimea.
The Permanent Representative stressed the necessity of some Higher Educational Institutions to be displaced to the mainland of Ukraine in order to improve the quality of education of some specialties. During the conference it was discussed the requirement of grant funds involvement that would enable the students of displaced Higher Educational Institutions to take part in educational programmers.
