Entrance to and exit from the temporarily occupied AR of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol by the citizens of Ukraine is possible on humanitarian grounds and in accordance with the decision of the State Border guard service of Ukraine( subsequently informing the Ministry of Reintegration of the Occupied Territories of Ukraine).
Today, the Government of Ukraine has adopted the decision on amending the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 14 March 2020№291-р “On a temporary suspension of work of entry–exit checkpoints with the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea” which is aimed to prevent the spread of acute respiratory infection COVID-19 throughout the territory of Ukraine, which is caused by the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2.
The Mission of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea supports the actions of the Government of Ukraine aimed to prevent the spread of acute respiratory infection COVID-19. We understand this is an urgent decision but it should not restrict the rights of the citizens. That is why the Mission continues to collect complaints, received from the citizens on restriction of crossing the administrative border to submit them to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. We consider such restrictions should not refer to the IDPs and individuals, residing in Crimea but not registered there. It is very important for us to support our citizens and do everything possible to ensure their safety and security.
