On 21 November 2018 the First Deputy of the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in ARC Izet Gdanov addressed on the meeting of the Committee on Social Policy, Employment and Pension Provision of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine

. The First Deputy noted the need to exercise of the social rights of IDPs and persons coming from the temporarily occupied Crimea, protection of their interests and provision of services to them significantly.

In his speech, due regard was given to pension provision of the citizens of Ukraine, who moved from the temporarily occupied Crimea to mainland Ukraine. The Pension Fund of Ukraine was noted to violate the IDPs’ rights to restoration of pensions. Therefore, in view of the above-mentioned problems the Mission is going to hold the inter-ministerial meeting on 23 November to coordinate the solutions to them. Hence, the need for the implementation of the Parliamentary monitoring of the activity of the local and regional subdivisions on these matters is supposed to be useful, especially in the districts close to the temporarily occupied Crimea.
