On 18 September 2018 the First Deputy of the Representative of the President of Ukraine in ARC Izet Gdanov held a working meeting on implementation of efficient complex legal persecution of the activity of so-called “Post of Crimea”. The practical implementation of restricted measures (sanctions) against the legal persons, cooperating with so-called “Post of Crimea” from the mainland of Ukraine, particularly blocking their assets was decided in order to prevent the postal services, carried out by involving the Russian operators from the TOT of Ukraine in Crimea. The participants of the meeting were the representatives of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, of the JSC “Ukrainian Postal Service” (“Ukrposhta”) and of the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine.
Particular attention was paid to such issues as:
– definition of the modalities for complex legal persecution of the activity of so-called “Post of Crimea” and co-working departments;
– prevention of existing postal service involving Russian postal operators via the international postal exchange places in the territory of Russia between the temporally occupied Crimea and the mainland of Ukraine and other foreign states;
– definition of Ukraine position in the international organizations on establishing the postal service for the temporally occupied Crimea by respecting for the human rights to information and secrecy of correspondence.
