On 18 September 2018 the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in ARC Borys Babin and his First Deputy Izet Gdanov held the inter-institutional meeting to agree the further actions on improvement of passenger railway transportation from/to the stations, adjacent to the check-points “Kalanchak” and “Chongar” and blocking of illegal transportation from/to the check-points and from/to the TOT of Ukraine in Crimea.
The participants of the meeting were representatives of the Security Service of Ukraine, of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, of the State Service of Ukraine for Transport Safety, of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, of the open joint stock company “Ukrzaliznytsa”, of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, and of other institutions. During the meeting the discussed issues concerned on:
– the implementation of joint decisions of the central governmental authorities on amending the current legislation in order to establish the effective mechanism for railway and automobile transportation from/to the check-points “Chongar”, “Kalanchak”, “Chaplynka”;
– the system inactivity of the Territorial Directorate of State Service of Ukraine for Transport Safety in Kherson region regarding the detection and suppression the illegal automobile transportation in the region;
– the duty to define the automobile transportation from/to the check-points in accordance with the Ukrainian legislation.
– the ongoing of the current railway passenger communication between Kyiv and the “Vadim” station.
Cessation of bus and railway link between the mainland of Ukraine and the Russian Federation was discussed as well. The meeting resulted on certain decisions to be implemented by a number of further activities.
